Astazine

AstazineAstaZine is a propriety extract of Haematococcus Pluvialis microalgae. It is a red-coloured substance obtained by cultivating algae that is one of the most potent antioxidants. It is found in large amounts in salmon, krill, shrimp, trout and other seafood. However, extracting it from these food items would be challenging. Therefore, the purest form of astaxanthin comes from cultivated algae.1

AstaZine will have Astaxanthin's health benefits, but to a more significant extent, as it is a purified form of one of the most potent antioxidants. AstaZine is extracted from the cultivated algae, resulting in the purest astaxanthin. Due to its purity, it is claimed to be 10 to 6000 times more potent than other natural antioxidants. Further, its cultivation in exceptional conditions ensures that it is free from impurities like heavy metals, making it safer compared to other astaxanthin supplements.1

Health Benefits of AstaZine

Below are some of the well-known benefits of AstaZine:

  • Antioxidant

Astaxanthin is among the most potent natural antioxidants. Therefore, it may effectively be used as part of an anti-aging program. It can also help manage chronic ailments and reduce the severity of their complications. Studies show that Astaxanthin is more potent than carotenes, tocopherols, lutein, and lycopene. AstaZine has an added benefit of high purity, thus surpassing the antioxidant activity of many other natural antioxidants.2

Xanthines are generally good for eye health and prevent an age-related decline in visual acuity. AstaZine may help prevent retinal damage to high-intensity light.3

  • Brain Health

As people live longer, there is a need to find natural supplements that could slow down age-related cognitive decline. Further, there is a need to minimise the risk of senile dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other neurological ailments. Studies show that AstaZine may help. It appears to help due to its free radical scavenging capacity. However, it is not yet known if it may help boost brain health in other ways.4

Clinical studies in humans show that AstaZine may protect the heart and improve its contractibility. In one study, three months intake of AstaZine could considerably improve cardiac contractibility. These effects could be due to the suppression of oxidative stress.6

  • Exercise Supplement

Since AstaZine is a potent antioxidant, it may help boost exercise capacity. Studies show that it may reduce recovery times, help a person to train better, and thus improve exercise performance. In addition, it helps by countering exercise-related oxidative stress.7

  • Joint Health

Joint disorders and osteoarthritis cause considerable disability in a large number of older adults. Although AstaZine is not a treatment for joint disorders, it may help as an add-on supplement.
